One of my lovely moms went out and bought 21 of these cute balloons for my students on Valentine's Day. Unfortunately, none of the kids were allowed to take them home because most of my students take the bus. The principal put the stop to the balloons for the bus kids because she was afraid there would be problems. I can totally understand, but those poor kids!! They were so disappointed and that poor mom... she didn't know and was just trying to do something fun and exciting for the kids!! Aw...

The balloons that never made it....
One of my lovely moms went out and bought 21 of these cute balloons for my students on Valentine's Day. Unfortunately, none of the kids were allowed to take them home because most of my students take the bus. The principal put the stop to the balloons for the bus kids because she was afraid there would be problems. I can totally understand, but those poor kids!! That is so sad, who would have thought balloons wouldn't be allowed on the school bus.
But that said, at my school we have a grade 7 student who they discovered suffers severe anxiety/fear whenever balloons are present.
That's so sweet that she would do that (and to get the mylar, not latex ones)
